Need help with PaperKit? Most questions are answered below. If yours isn't, write to coffee.army+paperkit@gmail.com and include the design type you're using (for example, A4 document).
Where did the paper go?
When you add paper as a background, it becomes the page background, behind everything else, so it can't be dragged by accident. To change it, add a different paper; to remove it, remove the page background in Canva.
Why can't I choose editable lines?
Dots, hexagons, millimeter and some other papers have hundreds of marks, too many to work with as separate shapes. Those papers are added as a background.
How do I make a notebook?
Under the preview, choose New pages, set how many (up to 50) and click Add. Each new page gets the same paper and the same size as the page you're on.
PaperKit says it can't be used here
PaperKit needs a design with fixed-size pages, such as a document, poster or presentation. It doesn't work in Canva Docs or whiteboards.
Why is the image in my uploads?
Canva stores page backgrounds as images in your account. PaperKit uploads each paper once per session and reuses it, so adding the same paper to many pages adds one upload.
Some papers show a lock
Those are premium papers. They'll be available once PaperKit joins Canva's premium program.
